Shelby Maunder

I am a settler on Turtle Island of Polish, Russian and British descent. I live, love, work and play on the territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta'an Kwäch'än Council. I am currently the Executive Director of BYTE – Empowering Youth Society. I advocate to create more spaces for Northern youth to lead. I am new to the Collective Impact approach but am excited to be learning about better processes for community engagement and collective action. In my spare time I raise chickens, ride bikes and cuddle with my dog.

The letter serves as a reminder that youth are paying attention, they are engaged and they care about their community. We ask our local leaders to respond or share their platforms as it relates to what Yukon youth want.
