WEBINAR | Building Equitable Economies for Immigrants and Refugees in Peel Funding Opportunity Information Session

Webinars and Videos, Myriam Berube, Participatory Grantmaking, Peel Region

This session introduced attendees to the People’s Panel, our participatory process, and provided information on our application guidelines.

The WES Mariam Assefa Fund has partnered with the Tamarack Institute to engage residents and community stakeholders to form a People’s Panel. Our People’s Panel reflected on their sector knowledge and lived experiences within Peel to identify diverse needs and define priorities to create targeted change and impact that will remove economic barriers for immigrants and refugees. Together, they co-designed this funding opportunity to build equitable economies for immigrants and refugees within the Peel region. The People’s Panel will also be making funding decisions for selected projects or initiatives.

We invite all interested organizations and collaboratives to register to attend this open-to-all information session.

Visit our Participatory Grantmaking Page for more information and to apply.
