Timiro Mohamed
With over 5 years of experience in the non-profit sector, a background in marketing, and a depth of experience offering arts-based anti-racism consulting services, Timiro Mohamed is passionate about innovative channels for community development. In 2022 she was awarded the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation’s Top 30 Under 30 award for her contributions to the UN’s sustainable development goals. Timiro believes in the power of the spoken word and has shared words before the Canadian Senate, as well as municipal and provincial governments. She has curated learning and engagement spaces with community leaders both locally and beyond, including Grammy-nominated Harvard fellow Amir Sulaiman. As a twice-published spoken word poet, Timiro has shared words alongside Dr. Angela Davis, and Grammy award-winning artist Yasiin Bey.
