Leena Sharma
Frame Changer, Life Coach, Conflict Transformation and Community Development Specialist. Leena Sharma Seth has served as the Director of Community Engagement with the Halton Poverty Roundtable since 2012. Leena brings a diverse range of experience to this role, having worked for organizations such as: Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Victorian Order of Nurses, Katimavik, and Global Vision – Malaysia. She has taught at Sheridan College in the Social Service Worker and Community Outreach Worker Programs, and is currently the Board Vice-President and volunteer mediator at Community Conflict Resolution Services of Halton, a grassroots organization delivering conflict management training and free community mediation for community members and groups experiencing conflict. Bringing people together has always been Leena’s passion. She leverages this passion through her work in: community development, facilitation, conflict management consulting & training, and volunteer community mediation. At the heart of all of these activities is a belief in the wisdom of individuals and groups. Designing a process and space that is collaborative, inclusive, and participatory is what empowers communities to learn and evolve together. Leena is proud to call Burlington home and has been recently enjoying the journey of motherhood, raising two daughters with her husband Sanjay.
