3 Funding Opportunities to Support Community Initiatives

The Government of Canada and its partners are currently accepting applications for three major funding opportunities for communities. Through the funding opportunities, communities can apply for funding to support public spaces, improve mobility and access to digital services, provide programs and services related to financial empowerment and social inclusion of vulnerable youth, and build intersectoral partnerships to address social determinants of health and wellbeing. BC Poverty Reduction Planning & Action Program Open for Second Round

Round two of funding is now open for the BC Poverty Reduction Planning and Action Program. In 2019, the Government of British Columbia announced $5M in funding through this program. Its first round empowered more than 50 local governments, including 14 Cities Reducing Poverty members, with up to $150,000 to create on-the-ground solutions to ending poverty.
