The Tamarack team has been working remotely for the past seven years. When the organization decided to close our main office, we looked upon this as an opportunity to better serve our members who live and work in communities across Canada, the US and in fact, the globe. Since becoming a remote organization, we have learned a lot about what it takes to provide our staff team with the tools, resources and technology to thrive in a remote work environment.
Tamarack Team members developed a Remote Guide which is used as an orientation tool for new staff members and encourage everyone on the team to read the book Remote by authors John Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson. In addition, Tamarack team members bring their own devices into their workspaces and technology needs are accommodated.
Working remotely enables Tamarack to hire team members located across Canada and to deliver our services and programs in a unique way.
