CASE STUDY | Illuminating Systems Change in Winnipeg

Case Studies, Cities Reducing Poverty, Poverty Reduction Strategy

It is well established in the world of social change that lasting solutions require systems change. This case study describes how the Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council (WPRC) has been embedding the Six Conditions of Systems Change model within their Indigenous Youth Employment strategy, and offers insight into how the approach can be applied to other poverty reduction initiatives.

Vibrant Communities Canada

By Vibrant Communities Canada

Vibrant Communities Canada supports cities and local leaders to develop and implement large-scale change initiatives through three learning networks: Cities Reducing Poverty, Cities Deepening Community and Communities Building Youth Futures. Our belief is that when we are effective in strengthening community capacity to engage citizens, lead collaboratively, deepen community and reduce poverty, our work contributes to the building of peace and more equitable society.
