Central Iowa is a community with a diverse population, robust insurance, financial services agri-food and technology sectors, and boundless opportunity. However, the community faces significant challenges — including inequity in health, education and housing. United Way of Central Iowa has made a long-term commitment to reducing poverty in the community, and has recently engaged in concerted efforts to develop a common agenda among community stakeholders while employing a successful Collective Impact strategy.
