CASE STUDY | How to Connect Diverse Leaders Around a Common Purpose

Community Engagement, Case Studies, Publications, Community Innovation

Leaders in the towns of Kingsville and Leamington, Ontario are spearheading an innovative cross-community initiative for inclusion. Building a Stronger, More Connective Kingsville-Leamington has brought together residents from all walks of life to take action and make their community inclusive for all, particularly the thousands of international workers that live in the towns and work on local farms.

This initiative, which includes a welcome centre, coordinated healthcare services, and language supports for workers, is a fantastic example of ordinary residents working together in an extraordinary way to create change in their communities. It is also an instructive case study for those seeking to rally and coordinate a community’s efforts around a common issue.
