Thomas Froese is a storyteller and veteran journalist of 30 years. He grew up in Canada’s Niagara Region and is a native of Berlin, Germany. Thomas writes about news, travel and life, often from his experiences in the Arab World and Africa, where he lived for 15 years and where he still returns to teach literature. He worked for 12 years as a reporter and photographer for the St. Thomas Times-Journal in southwestern Ontario. He is an alumnus of Seattle Pacific University’s MFA in Creative Writing program. He’s taught Creative Writing to American undergraduates in Uganda and taught American Literature to Ugandan graduate students, a lecturing assignment which currently brings him back to Africa annually. His ongoing interest in photography has also led him to photograph much of Canada and parts of Europe in addition to his overseas homes in the Middle East and Africa.
