L’impact collectif se définit par l’engagement d’un groupe d’actrices et d’acteurs émanant de différents secteurs envers un plan d’action commun visant à résoudre un problème complexe.

Afin d’apporter des solutions durables aux défis sociaux et environnementaux à grande échelle, les organismes, dont les organismes gouvernementaux et ceux de la société civile, et le secteur privé doivent coordonner leurs efforts et travailler ensemble envers un objectif clairement défini.

Il existe cinq conditions qui, ensemble, contribuent à la réussite des initiatives d’impact collectif, provoquent un réel alignement, et mènent à des résultats puissants : 

  • un plan d’action commun

  • un système d’évaluation commun

  • des activités se renforçant mutuellement

  • une communication continue 

  • une infrastructure de soutien
