Dina is passionate about youth voice, science literacy, and racial justice, and is committed to fostering community spaces and a policy landscape that make these possible.
Dina is the Director of Research and Evaluation at Visions of Science, a charitable organization that has a mission to transform communities, society, and the planet through equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). In her role, Dina focuses on leveraging the assets of youth, measuring and deepening impact in communities, and bridging community development with broader systems advocacy.
Prior to her work at Visions of Science, she worked on a range of research projects from retrovirus entry mechanisms to the safe employment integration of newcomers. Dina holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Waterloo and has multidisciplinary experiences in science, public health, education, and community development. She was a 2021 Maytree Policy School Fellow and is working to facilitate participatory approaches to policy-making through meaningful collaboration with youth, families, and community members.
