Hina Laeeque

Hina Laeeque
Hina Laeeque, MSc, CHE, is a Patient Safety Improvement Lead at the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI). Hina is the lead for the National Patient Safety Consortium and the National Integrated Patient Safety Strategy, a large scale change initiative. The National Patient Safety Consortium is a group of more than 50 organizations, including national organizations, provincial and territorial quality and patient safety councils, government representatives, professional associations and patient groups that collaborate on a shared action plan for safer healthcare. From 2008-2011, Hina managed the research portfolio at CPSI. Previously, Hina has worked at Health Canada’s Health Products and Food Branch where she was involved in public outreach and consultation planning for the Western Region. At Alberta Heath Services, Hina worked with the Clinical Quality Metrics team to coordinate a quality improvement program. Hina’s passion is healthcare improvement. Hina holds a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto as well as a graduate diploma in Health Services and Policy Research. She also obtained her Certified Health Executive designation.
