ÉTUDE DE CAS | Les jeunes de yellowknife à la poursuite de leurs rêves grâce à un accès aux technologies et à des possibilités de mentorat

La population de Yellowknife compte approximativement 20 000 personnes, dont environ 2 600 jeunes de 15 à 24 ans (Bureau de la statistique des TNO, 2019). Les profils des jeunes de Yellowknife sont très diversifiés. Bon nombre d’entre eux/elles peuvent être considéré-e-s comme privilégié-e-s (des jeunes dont les besoins de base sont satisfaits, qui ont accès aux technologies utiles ou qui possèdent leur propre matériel, qui ont accès à Internet et qui sont en mesure de tirer parti de ressources, comme les services de tutorat, et de la documentation supplémentaire pour les aider dans leurs études), tandis que d’autres peuvent être considéré-e-s comme défavorisé-e-s (des jeunes dont les besoins de base ne sont pas satisfaits, qui n’ont pas accès aux technologies, à Internet et aux ressources qui pourraient les aider dans leurs études, comme des services de tutorat ou de la documentation supplémentaire).
