This report by Jean-Marie Chapeau showcases the findings of an evaluation of the Participatory Grantmaking Pilot Project that took place in Peel Region, Ontario, from 2021 to 2023.
The Participatory Grantmaking Pilot Project was funded by the WES Mariam Asefa Fund and supported by the Tamarack Institute over a two-year period starting in 2021. The goal of the evaluation is to assess the following elements of the project:

Whether the decisions made by the grantmaking processes helped meet the needs from the local community

The lessons learned from the project as they relate to the success of future projects
