The Privilege of Voting

Please Vote

Today, some of us have the opportunity to shape our communities by voting. I am a recent citizen of this country and voted for the first time this morning. (I brought my kids along to see what it’s like, and I am in the process of connecting in good ways with other early-to-line-up-voters.)

Not everyone has the opportunity to vote. I observe the world (and think about the journey that so many people I've met have had to citizenship), and I feel moved by the opportunity.

It’s by no means the only way to shape this world to be the place we know it can be - but it’s a lever that some of us have today. If you can,  please vote.
