BOOK | 10 - A Guide for Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in Your Community

Case Studies, Publications, Climate Change, CCT Publications, Climate Transitions, SDGs

Informed by the SDG 10 Guide Advisory Group, this guide aims to be a practical tool for communities looking to localize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SDGs are a set of 17 interconnected Global Goals that serve as a shared vision for a more equitable and resilient future, to be achieved by 2030. The international community is committed to taking action on these goals and Canada has shown leadership at the federal level and, even more vitally, within cities and communities.

This guide outlines big ideas for advancing the SDGs locally, inspiring stories of communities that are leading the way, helpful resources, ways to get started, and more. It was written for leaders from across sectors including elected officials, staff within city or regional governments, community organizers, business leaders, and concerned citizens.
