As part of our Community Change Series 2016, Mark Cabaj and Liz Weaver put forward fresh thinking around five ways to build the next iteration of the Collective Impact Framework with their publication Collective Impact 3.0 - An Evolving Framework for Community Change.

In this article, they've laid out what we feel are foundational elements of a CI 3.0 framework. The core argument is that CI efforts are more likely to be effective when their participants operate from a movement-building paradigm.
