In Burlington, Ontario, a remarkable transformation has taken place. The City of Burlington has embarked on a journey of community empowerment, shifting away from traditional top-down approaches to community development and embracing a new way of working: Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD).
No longer satisfied with supplying programs and activities that are done TO and FOR the community without collaboration, the City and Community have met in the middle to work together.
