CASE STUDY | Building Housing Co-Operative Communities

Four trailblazing communities across Canada joined Tamarack's Building Belonging Membership Program. Through it, they built capacity, engaged and re-engaged youth, and learned to focus on and utilize the gifts and strengths of their communities.

The Cooperative Housing Federation of Canada (CHFC) is a vital advocate for housing cooperatives, emphasizing affordable, sustainable, and community-oriented housing solutions.

In 2022, CHFC sponsored four housing cooperatives to join Tamarack’s Communities Building Belonging membership program to learn how to rebuild the sense of community that had been impacted by the public health restrictions that were seen across Canada during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
