Canoe B.C. Chalks the Town

Written by the Tamarack Institute | April 6, 2020

In Shuswap, a region of BC, the Canoe neighbourhood is decorating their driveways and intersections with inspiring messages and colourful chalk art.

The local corner store has provided chalk free for the community to take and use. At the main intersection in this close knit neighbourhood, one resident drew a large heart with the words: this too shall pass, written inside of it. Kids who would normally be playing together are drawing pictures and leaving encouraging words on their driveways for each other.
