About

This community of practice is for anyone actively involved in a Living Wage campaign or is in the early stages of exploring or implementing a Living Wage in their community. Meet with others who are involved in Living Wage across Canada. Share experiences, resources, and help us build a national living wage movement.

This group meets bi-monthly on the last Monday of alternating months, from 12:30 - 2:00 pm ET.

Benefits of Membership

By joining this unique community of practice you will be able to share your experiences and knowledge in free-flowing and creative ways with other professionals who are working on similar challenges or issues. By engaging in facilitated conversations with your peers, you will uncover new approaches to problems, build your professional skill set, access new ideas and contribute to the transfer of best practices.

Our Commitment 

  • Provide a platform for regular communication, peer support, and ongoing professional development for individuals who are working on or exploring the Living Wage
  • Support and encourage the development and extension of Living Wage knowledge, and Living Wage as a strategy for poverty reduction
  • Facilitate resource-sharing and remain up-to-date on Living Wage rates and developments in Canadian communities
  • Keep abreast of and participate in leading best practices
  • Help identify potential areas for research and development
  • Provide opportunities for mentorship to build capability of less experienced practitioners
  • Facilitate shared space to organize and explore the development of communications, materials, and other resources for Living Wage practitioners

Our Members 

Registration to the Living Wage Leaders CoP is open to anyone needing support and looking to share Living Wage knowledge, experience, and resources with peers. At present, our membership includes:

  • Local Living Wage Coordinators
  • Regional Living Wage Network Coordinators
  • Private and Non-Profit Living Wage Employers
  • Living Wage and Social Policy Researchers
