Collective Impact initiatives require a new way of thinking about and approaching collaboration. Creating a shared vision and aligned activities can be challenging when working with multiple partners -- and even more so when those partnerships are across different organizations or even sectors. 

As part of a Collective Impact initiative, partners must tackle big issues such as creating a shared vision, aligning activities, reconciling organizational cultures and creating a method of shared-measurement. In order to successfully tackle the big issues, however, partners must be able to tackle the seemingly small challenges to avoid frustration and inefficiencies.
