Format: 3.5-hour virtual workshop

This interactive session focuses on the core leadership competency of trust-building, back by popular demand for one final session before Liz Weaver's retirement this fall. 

 

Collaborative success requires the engagement and commitment of partners to the common cause. Participants in this workshop will walk away with ideas, tools, and approaches to effectively engage diverse community partners and intentionally build trusting relationships and collaborative impact. Come prepared to share your experiences and insights on how to build trust.

 

This workshop is designed for those who are:

  • Conveners or facilitators of collaborative tables where building trust is an imperative

  • Individuals who are members of organizational or collaborative teams seeking to build trust within their teams

  • Individuals or teams experiencing broken trust and who would like to work better together

  • Individuals or teams who are intrigued by the idea of trust and are seeking practical approaches to build trust

Evaluation 101: Telling Stories of Change and Impact

Format: 3.5-hour virtual workshop

Date: September 26, 2024

Evaluation is a key component of engaging in changemaking work. This workshop, led by Dr. Chúk Odenigbo (PhD), Consulting Director of Impact Evaluation, offers participants an introduction to evaluation. We will be going over what evaluation is, the basic steps and best practice when conducting evaluation, and learnings on community engagement and how to ensure that, when we do this work, we centre equity.

 

This workshop is designed for those who:

  • Are looking to get started with evaluating the impact of their community work
  • Are already doing evaluation work but would like to build a stronger foundation in evaluation 
  • Are noticing a lack of engagement when doing evaluation and looking to strategize how to increase participation 
  • Are from diverse communities but are not engaging the full diversity of their community

Developing Your Collaboration Impact Story

Format: 2.5-hour virtual workshop

Date: October 7, 2024

After the success of the workshop last month, by popular demand Liz Weaver and Sylvia Cheuy are bringing their newly developed workshop back for one final time this year. This virtual 2.5-hour workshop will guide you and fellow changemakers in crafting your collaboration’s own impact story.

 

Participants will learn about the seven steps to craft compelling stories, which highlight their collaborative’s successes and progress. Attendees will also be guided on how to craft their collaboration’s impact story in a way that will help attract and retain funders and partners.

 

This workshop is designed for those who are:

  • Implementing a collaborative project and want to better understand their impact

  • Playing a lead communications role on behalf of a collaboration

  • Guiding a collaborative project through a phase of renewal

  • Wondering about the sustainability of their collaboration and how to plan for it
