As we mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Tamarack reflects on what reconciliation truly means in our work and relationships. Guided by community and our Seeds of Transformation Framework, we understand reconciliation as both truth-telling and daily practice, a continuous act of honouring Indigenous leadership, centring community voices, and transforming the systems we are part of.
At Tamarack, we have been on our own journey of pérégrination with reconciliation: pausing, listening, and learning alongside Indigenous partners while also acknowledging where we must do better. This is not about a single day of recognition, but about how we consistently show up across coaching, convening, and collective action. In this month’s Engage, we share stories of Indigenous-led innovation, decolonial education, and policy change, practical tools to help communities move reconciliation forward with courage and care.
Looking for a supportive space to grow your equity practice?
These four virtual workshops offer hands-on, reflective, and supportive learning environments for those looking to deepen their equity and belonging practice in community change work. Facilitated by experienced equity leaders, each session blends real-world lessons with space for connecting, learning, and accountability.
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge that our work occurs across Turtle Island (North America), which has been the ancestral home of Indigenous Peoples of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit descent.
