Celebrating National Philanthropy Day

Canada’s movement for trust-based, community-led funding continues to grow.

On November 15th, we celebrate National Philanthropy Day by highlighting funding successes, exploring transformational funding practices, and advocating for trust-based philanthropy.

Philanthropy is changing and communities are leading the way! This National Philanthropy Day, Tamarack Institute recognizes funders and organizations embracing trust, flexibility, and shared power. Together we're building a movement that shifts decision-making closer to communities and creating lasting, meaningful impacts across Canada.

The Movement is Growing

Yukon Mountains

What happens when hundreds of nonprofits, charities, associations, and funders align around a shared vision? Their open letter is sparking new conversations that strengthen communities and economies. It demonstrates how collective action can shape community well-being and economic development.
