About Nathan
Nathan Gilbert is the past Executive Director of the Laidlaw Foundation. He retired in August 2013.

During his tenure, he has helped to transform Laidlaw from a private family foundation into a public interest foundation that focuses its resources on innovation in the fields of improving life chances for children and youth, performing arts, ecosystem sustainability, and socially responsible investment research. Nathan serves as a Director of Inter Pares, Tamarack Institute, Alternative Journal (to be confirmed in the next few weeks) and sits on two committees of the Toronto District School Board. Previously, Nathan served as the Executive Director of the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association.
