About Mary

Mary specializes in communication, fundraising, innovation research and practice and executive leadership in the environmental non-profit sector. Since 2004, Mary has led the development of TAF’s climate programs leveraging social innovation, policy advocacy, and multi-stakeholder collaborations. Mary co-directed the development of the City of Toronto’s first TransformTO climate plan integrating climate action with public health, local economic development, and social equity priorities. She is also an accredited Practitioner-Trainer of the international Partnership Brokers Association, a pioneer in advancing multi-solving approaches and co-inventor of the online Multisolving Challenge Game.

Mary’s current focus is on ways to accelerate climate actions to scale at the pace required to meet Canada’s climate targets. In 2016 she supported the expansion of TAF’s work beyond City of Toronto and across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area, and in 2019 across Canada through a scale-out of the TAF model to six additional city regions as a co-founder of Low Carbon Cities Canada (LC3).

She currently works as a senior advisor to LC3 executive directors and the LC3 National Office on organizational development, partnerships, shared metrics, and learning.
