Montreal’s Collective Impact Project (CIP), which launched in 2015, is an innovative and inspiring example of Collective Impact at the neighbourhood level. CIP demonstrates the impact of mobilizing multiple funders, diverse sectors, and resident leaders from 17 neighbourhoods in a united, long-term effort to reduce the multifaceted challenges of poverty.

By embracing a focus at the neighbourhood scale and a clear long-term goal of reducing poverty, the CIP empowers local neighbourhoods to generate changes that are designed by and for their own community.
