John McKnight is best known as the creator of Asset Based Community Development and was a featured speaker and presenter at the Communities: Programs and Programs gathering hosted by the Tamarack Institute in Kitchener, Ontario on June 23-26, 2014. John describes his experience, some of the differences between the US and Canadian approach to community development, and his collaboration with Peter Block in writing The Abundant Community.
