WEBINAR | Innovation Starts with People

Written by the Tamarack Institute | August 31, 2016

Australia and Canada share much in common. Australia has one of the highest levels of median wealth in the world, yet poverty and poor outcomes for certain groups are at an all-time high. Canada, with its vast economic and environmental wealth, is similarly stuck on moving the needle on poverty. Every year both countries spend billions on social programs, yet still little changes.

In this webinar, hosted by Liz Weaver, Carolyn Curtis & Dr. Ingrid Burkett from the Australian Centre for Social Innovation discuss their approach to social innovation, how good innovation draws on people’s real life expertise at all stages to build solutions that work for them and how the skills of listening and seeing things from other’s perspectives are key to innovation.
