CASE STUDY | Harnessing Data: Evidence-Based Practice in Chatham-Kent

Case Studies, Poverty Reduction, Cities Reducing Poverty, Data, CRP Publications

Data is a powerful tool for community change efforts. It is the foundation for understanding, tackling, and marking progress on social issues. This case study exemplifies how Chatham-Kent’s Prosperity Roundtable is using data to inform their decision-making in all aspects of poverty reduction work.

The Chatham-Kent (CK) Prosperity Roundtable was able to use data to guide their COVID-19 response in the face of growing food insecurity.

Vibrant Communities

By Vibrant Communities

Vibrant Communities supports cities and local leaders to develop and implement large-scale change initiatives through four learning networks: Ending Poverty, Deepening Community, Building Youth Futures and Climate Transitions. Our belief is that when we are effective in strengthening community capacity to engage citizens, lead collaboratively, deepen community and reduce poverty, our work contributes to the building of peace and more equitable society.
