While humans are hardwired to live in community, evidence shows that our actual experiences of being in community have been steadily declining since the 1960s. In this article, Sylvia Cheuy calls for a deliberate and intentional effort to re-learn the skills to effectively build community and gives a number of examples of communitites doing just this to address the complex issues and opportunities of our times.
