This moving article provides an overview of the Inclusion Initiative and offers insights into the impacts on young adults living with disabilities, families of young adults living with disabilities and community professionals and organizations.
The initiative infused members with a sense of hope, affirmed the power of collaboration, increased coordination between organizations as well as partnerships resulting in new initiatives, and helped to make the insurmountable task of shifting the culture of a community which is nearly impossible seem possible.
