This month, we’re sharing a few strategies for shifting from a top-down style of decision-making to a more community-centric model when it comes to programing and activities. What do they all have in common? They’re focused on the goal of meeting somewhere in the middle.
Asset-Based Community Development: When Community and Municipalities Meet in the Middle
June 6-8, 2023 | St. Albert, Alberta
This June, we’re hosting a learning event for residents and municipal staff who are looking to co-lead collaborative strategies for positive social change in the neighbourhoods where they live and work.
Day 1: Community How do we inspire communities and people to get involved in their neighbourhoods and what is their function in community.
Day 2: Municipalities How do we put people and community at the centre of our work? What are some of the ways this can be done? What is the function of municipalities in neighbourhoods?
Day 3: Meeting in the Middle How do community and municipalities work together?
