By: Liz Weaver
We’re excited to publicly launch our Collective Impact Toolkit resource to assist other change-makers and organizations on their own Collective Impact journey. We want to equip you with the practical tools needed to navigate the various pre-conditions, conditions, and phases of a long-term Collective Impact effort. The tools and resources contained within are pulled from over twenty years of community change work, informed in partnership with local changemakers from communities across the globe.

19 Trailblazing Communities Using Collective Impact to Advance an Equitable Climate Transition
By: Laura Schnurr
We are thrilled to announce the 19 communities taking part in Tamarack’s first-ever Climate Transitions Cohort. Over a 10-month period, we hope to support participating communities in their efforts to develop and implement local climate transition plans through Collective Impact. These diverse communities from six Canadian provinces were selected following a Call for Applicants launched last fall. Over 80 individuals are taking part, from local governments, nonprofits, community organizations and citizen-led groups, post-secondary and private sector.
When the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic in March 2020, the Tamarack Institute had been celebrating Canada achieving the lowest level of poverty in the country’s history. It had seemed like the end of poverty was in sight.
This second annual Communities Ending Poverty Impact Report serves as a COVID-19 update as opposed to a full impact report. This is due to the lack of new information on Canada’s Official Poverty Line (Market Basket Measure) and complementary population-level data from Statistics Canada, which we hope will be available in 2022.
