Given the surge of Omicron in recent weeks and the protests taking place in Ottawa and other parts of the country, this is a challenging period for many of us. Yet despite the difficulties we face, people everywhere are continuing to care for one another and for the planet.
Tamarack’s Climate Transitions Cohort, a 10-month learning journey that begins today, brings together a group of 90 passionate and dedicated individuals from across sectors looking to accelerate a transition to a more just, equitable and sustainable future at the community level.
We had an overwhelming response to our Call for Applicants from the fall and ended up selecting these 19 communities to join. Stay tuned for more on the Cohort in our future newsletters and on our website.
We’re also celebrating Black History Month and recognizing the countless contributions of Black Canadians to making Canada a better place for everyone. We’ll be joining this virtual celebration on February 17 and are re-watching this short video on five amazing Black trailblazers.
