Dear there,
We have a newsletter packed with exciting announcements and opportunities this month!
Two weeks ago, the Community Climate Transitions team had the immense pleasure of hosting over 130 of you for the first-ever National Gathering on November 15 and 16, we were joined by keynote speaker Elizabeth May; by Mayors Alan DeSousa, Dawn Arnold, Rebecca Alty and Cam Guthrie; as well as by philanthropists, community leaders, Indigenous advocates, sustainability experts, and many other committed participants for a dynamic exploration of the many facets of our theme: putting equity at the center of climate action.
Our very own Jennifer Lerus-Roulez shares her thoughts on our recent National Gathering in this blog post.
With a growing community of over 1,700 changemakers and climate champions from across Canada, the conference was also an opportunity to celebrate the first 18 months of the Community Climate Transitions program itself and the trailblazing communities involved, and we’re excited to feature some of their takeaways in a brand-new page called Cohort in Action.
Now, as 2022 draws to a close, we are excited to announce the launch of a suite of wonderful new opportunities designed to support you and your community as we collectively continue the important work of transitioning to a just, equitable, and sustainable future for all.
Keep reading to learn more – and see you in 2023!
